Nicole Castillo has been an integral part of the company over the last 27 years. An expert in both media and client relations, she continues to garner positive publicity for major events, food and beverage products, and lifestyle and hospitality services. Castillo has a roster of several award winning campaigns which includes two Public Relations Society of America's New York Chapter Big Apple Awards. In 2013, Castillo was honored as one of the future leaders of Long Island at the Long Island Business News 40 Under 40 Awards. Since her first day at WordHampton she has been stimulating company growth through new initiatives and business development. Castillo was made partner in 2003 and worked alongside the mentorship of founder Steve Haweeli for the next 20 years and now continues Haweeli's legacy leading WordHampton to the next level of success. Castillo also gives back to the local community in which she grew up. A lifelong East End resident, she has worked with several local charities on various fundraising events. She sits on the board of Citizens for Access Rights, a local non-for-profit group created to protect public beach access on the East End and also sits on the board of the Hampton Lifeguard Association, a community organization with the mission of waterproofing Long Island's South Fork through education, training and support of water safety programs. Most recently Castillo was elected to the board of the Greater East Hampton Chamber of Commerce.

Steve Haweeli founded WordHampton Public Relations in 1992. Built from the ground up, WordHampton became one of the first and most successful public relations firms in the Hamptons and subsequently throughout Long Island. In 1997 Steve brought on Nicole Castillo as a full time employee and the business continued to grow over the next 30 years under the management of the duo. Known as one of Long Island's most successful and recognizable agency principals, Steve was honored with several awards throughout his professional career including the prestigious Jack Rettaliata Lifetime Achievement Award from the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island, Long Island Business News' Fifty or so Around 50 Class of 2010 business leaders; and as an honoree at the Long Island Hospitality Ball for his industry contributions. Steve was also a founding member of The Croft Society, a professional group of public relations and communications firms across the country dedicated to sharing business management practices and developing future agency leaders. Steve was a former board member of the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce, the Suffolk County Community College's Culinary Arts program, the Family Service League and served as a vestry member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in East Hampton. Steve was an avid artist who created vibrant contemporary abstract works in oil and acrylic. The theme of the East End appeared in many of his works, representing the feeling and beauty of the sublime environment on the East End.
